Yakima BowDown Kayak Carrier

The Yakima BowDown offers the best in rooftop kayak transport! The carrier is constructed of steel substrate encased in a durable foam padding for boat protection. The J-Cradle design allows for a single kayak to be rested on the top of the vehicle and secured down with included heavy duty tie down straps and bow / stern tie downs. Instead of having to take the BowDown off every time your done with it, the carrier cradles can be folded down allowing for clearance for getting into garages and other places that require maximum clearance. Each cradle is lockable with optional SKS locking cores (sold separately) to prevent theft. The carrier will fit on many factory roof rack cross bars, round or square.
